A Local Beauty: Texas Tulips


How refreshing is it to escape for a little while? Whether you travel locally around the corner or take a little road trip to a neighboring city it’s a nice feeling to explore your surroundings while discovering new locations. You never know what the world holds, maybe a place you've never heard of will become your personal favorite and turn into a regular spot. Today I will be blogging about a local spot which captured my heart. Texas Tulips located in Pilot Point, Denton is a buzzing family friendly location which is absolutely breathtaking. As you first enter, your eyes are met with pops of colors everywhere. There is a sweet floral aroma lingering in the air and there are rows and rows of tulips for you to view and admire. Each tulip captures your eye as each is unique in color and pattern. The rich colors of the tulips vary from bright reds, yellows, and pinks to darker colors such as purple and maroon.This plot of land contains many beautiful vibrant colors and variations of gorgeous Texas grown tulips. There is $2.50 fee per person, a small price to pay for an amazing summer adventure. Visitors are allowed to pick tulips and take them as a souvenir that will brighten up their home. Children run through the fields in bright colored sun dresses and many families pose next to the tulips to capturing pictures of memories that will last a lifetime. Tulips bloom around the spring time and continue to grow throughout the summer. This location is worth the visit for it’s absolutely beautiful scenery and for the history behind the little plant nursery which believe it or not, started in Holland located in the Netherlands! The owner and his parents grew up with a green thumb and eventually moved the famous Holland tulips to Texas!This location is the definition of a summer afternoon provided with ice cream with can be purchased at the counter located near the entrance. What sounds better than being surrounded by lovely flowers and having a cone of sweet ice cream in hand which cools the summer heat? I encourage everyone to go experience the colorful arrangements of tulips with their family and friends! Texas tulips is really the ideal summer getaway. Your body will thank you for the fresh air and for the vitamin D provided by the sun. This is truly a sight for sore eyes, a lush refreshing are to add to your summer adventures and memories.
